This is a sample timetable and is subject to change. There may also be occasions when we work 'off timetable', for example during theme weeks.
Our PE days are Mondays and Thursday. Please make sure your child comes to school already dressed in their PE kit. Outdoor PE will take place whenever possible, so please ensure that children have warm layers during the colder months. PE kit should adhere to our uniform policy.
Each week the children will be given a homework sheet with various tasks for them to complete. Homework is set on Thursday and is due in on the following Tuesday.
Children should read aloud to an adult every day for 10mins, recording this in their reading record books.
Children should also be accessing Numbots and TT Rockstars and Oxford Owl at home. Their usernames are in their homework books.
Please check your child's Seesaw account and the orange book for the weekly homework.
We are an OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) school, so please make sure your child always has wellies and wet weather gear with them.
Details about the Year 2 curriculum can be found here:
Knowledge organisers are used to support learning in foundation subjects and science. They cover what the children will be learning in that subject area and help with both learning and retaining new knowledge.
Our Big Question for the first half of Autumn is 'What are materials used for?'
Our Big Question for history during the Autumn term is 'How did the Great Fire change London?'
