Early Reading and Phonics at Woodgate Primary School
At Woodgate, we follow the Letters and Sounds program and at present, we are working closely with the English Hub. Below you will find clips and information that will help you to support your child with phonics and reading at home.
*****Phonics Screening Check 2021
The PSC due to be carried out in Year 1 in June 2021 has been postponed to the end of the Autumn Term 2021 when the children will be in Year 2. Those children not meeting the expected standard in the autumn will then take the statutory check in June 2022.
The PSC for the current Year 1s will be carried out in June 2022.
