"Working together to be our best"

Pupil Premium

Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

Since 2011 Schools have been in receipt of The Pupil Premium allocation. This fund is based on the number of pupils receiving free school meals; Ever 6 children who have in the past received free school meals; children looked after by the Local Authority and the children of service personnel.

All schools are required to report on the amount of funding received and how this is being used as well as the impact this is having on those pupils. Funds have been used to provide a variety of intervention programmes and enrichment opportunities such as:

  • Interventions to improve core learning
  • Small group work with dedicated Teaching Assistants to overcome barriers to learning and secure good outcomes.
  • Programmes to meet specific learning needs
  • Opportunities for these pupils to attend After School Clubs and/or Residential trips and educational visits to build self esteem.
  • To provide mentoring for pupils with emotional difficulties that were seen to be barrier to learning.
  • For 1:1 and small group support.

In 2022-23 the allocation for Woodgate Primary School was £43,891

In 2023-24 the allocation for Woodgate Primary Academy £51,200

Please see attached Pupil Premium document below for current 2022/23 Pupil Premium funding.
