TIK TOK concerns

You may be aware of reports that some deeply disturbing and graphic content has been uploaded online and is being shared on social media platforms such as TikTok and Facebook. This is being widely reported in the press. There is information that this footage is potentially being disguised within other videos, including those of kittens and puppies, specifically aimed at children and young people on TikTok’s For You Page (#FYP).  There is no evidence we are aware of to suggest West Sussex school children are currently sharing this content, but please let us know if you have any concerns.

 

We would like to reassure you that our school’s PSHE curriculum is actively teaching children how to stay safe online and what they should do if they do access content that is harmful.
